Our Story
Susan’s love for sewing and textiles started in childhood, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. For the past 20 years, she has run Wondrous Window Designs with her husband Tom, creating custom drapery alongside top interior designers. Working so closely with fine interiors turned that early love into a total obsession with fabric. Over two decades, she couldn't bear to see exquisite, high-end remnants go to waste—so she saved every single piece.
Lavender Bleu Bespoke was born from a mission to save those exceptional materials. Alongside her own 20-year archive, Susan actively sources designer remnants, discontinued swatches, and luxury mill samples from across the design industry. Instead of letting these fine fabrics sit forgotten or end up discarded, she gives them a second life, handcrafting each piece into durable, limited-edition tote bags right in her studio.
By using these finite, saved fabrics, every tote keeps incredible materials in use and out of the landfill. Since most of her remnant supply is small, once a specific design is gone, it's gone for good.
Thanks for stopping by. Susan is thrilled to share these collections and the history behind every stitch!
